About Us

Stewart Cook

Stewart studied Civil Engineering at Southampton University before going on to attend the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1992. After a whirlwind career carrying out construction projects from as far afield as Hong Kong, Nepal, Canada and Bosnia, he left as a Captain in The Queen's Gurkha Engineers, returning to further education to undertake an MBA at City University Business School. A career in Management Consulting followed, specialising in eBusiness Strategy, working to clients that included Internet Consultancy Red Snapper and NatWest Bank in London, and Reuters in New York.

The arrival of kids in 2001 resulted in an adjustment in life's priorities, prompting the move to France in early 2002, again to develop property, this time for the holiday lettings market. There followed a period of carrying out architect's drawings for clients, as well as floor plans for estate agents.

'I am thoroughly excited to establish Classic French Homes and in so doing combining my four passions - property, the Internet, photography and family. I handpick only the best properties, and enjoy the challenge of breaking the mould of traditional French Estate Agency - innovating in property marketing, taking the best of French to a discerning international customer base'.
